Thibaut Courtois, Chelsea's Belgian goalkeeper (25 years old), demands to become the Premier's best-paid goalkeeper to sign a new contract with the London side.

Rumors have persisted that, if his economic demands are not met, the former Atlético de Madrid goalkeeper would receive offers from Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus.

His goal is to become the highest-paid goalkeeper in the Premier League. As such, he has demanded an annual salary of 12 million euros, which is what David de Gea receives at Manchester United. The figure would double Courtois’ current income at Chelsea, where he has a contract that pays him £5.7 million per season.

Dutch outlet Het Laatste Nieuws surmises that Courtois has tabled negotiations until the conclusion of this season. His contract expires in the summer of 2019.
