Manchester United Target Set To Leave Atletico Next Summer: Chance For Jose To Rope Him In?

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has hinted that the attacking sensation Antoine Griezmann could be on his way out of Wanda Metropolitano next summer when he was asked about the Frenchman being booed by his own sets of fans during their 0:0 draw with Real Madrid on the weekend.

The former Real Sociedad star has been heavily linked with a move away from the club and it might be time for him to make the next step in his career. A lot of top European clubs have let their interest known, including Barcelona, Manchester City, and Manchester United.

Manchester United, in particular, has always been a club that has been linked to a move for Antoine Griezmann. Considering the fact that Griezmann’s odds of leaving Atletico next summer are now more than ever, the Red Devils should definitely seize the opportunity to sign him up in the summer.

Despite a great start to the season, Jose Mourinho’s men have always lacked the attacking thrust for a long time now. The Red Devils started the season in a very positive way but are now struggling to keep up with the high flying Manchester City, which largely attributes to their lack of attacking capabilities.

The record times PL champions have always struggled against a sturdy opposition as well as playing against big teams. They failed to score even a single goal in their game against Liverpool, who arguably boasts the worst defence among the Premier League top seven.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been the lone spark in their attack, with the likes of Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard, and Juan Mata, often failing to provide much in the attacking department. The addition of Romelu Lakaku has been a huge boost for the Red Devils but due to lack of creative players, Jose Mourinho’s men often lack the attacking potency, which might lead to bigger problems in the future.

The addition of Antoine Griezmann, however, will be a massive deal for the Manchester giants. The Atleti attacker has the ability to change the game by himself, and unlike Juan Mata or Jesse Lingard, the 26-year-old has been consistent for the most part of his career.

Griezmann can provide the necessary flair and creativity required to spark up United’s attack. Furthermore, the French International is also a very versatile attacker, having the ability to play both as a winger as well as a striker.

Made no mistake, Antoine Greizmann is definitely a great buy for the Red Devils if they are to find their former rhythm and dominate the Premier League once again.
